The Story Behind the Scent

Pierre Montale’s ouds range from bright and fresh to deep and gourmand, and Aoud Vanille sits firmly at the warm, sweet end. It takes the smoky agarwood he is known for and softens it with vanilla, saffron and rose for something plush and comforting.

Black pepper and saffron open it warm and slightly spicy, a rich oud, rose and jasmine give an opulent floral woody heart, and a base of vanilla, guaiac wood and sandalwood keeps it sweet, smooth and long lasting. It smells like warm wood and vanilla together, indulgent without losing the oud’s depth.
