Crazy In Love, inspired by Montale Crazy in Love (2021)

Crazy in Love opens with saffron and cardamom, spices that give the rose petals a honeyed, faintly leathery glow, while a squeeze of lemon keeps it from feeling stuffy. The rose then deepens, joined by violet with its sweet-shop powderiness and sandalwood for body. Brown sugar defines the base: together with amber and vanilla it makes the finish distinctly sweet, and a little oakmoss gives it shade.

About the original

Montale files Crazy in Love in its floral family, though its own description calls it a comforting, rich vanilla scent. Montale gives no launch date; fragrance references put it at around 2021. It comes in a pink bottle decorated with a gold mandala. Montale does not market it to one gender, though some fragrance references see it as leaning feminine. The name is easily confused with Crazy for Oud, a different scent from Mancera, Montale's sister house.
