High Frequency, inspired by Initio Parfums Privés High Frequency (2016)

Almond and magnolia lead, the almond marzipan-like and gently sweet. Hedione is the key to the texture: a synthetic molecule with a transparent, faintly citrusy, jasmine-like smell that gives florals a sense of space and air. Jasmine and heliotrope, which has a powdery, almond-and-cherry quality, deepen the middle. Vanilla and sandalwood then smooth everything into a powdery base.

About the original

High Frequency dates from 2016 and belongs to Initio Parfums Privés' Carnal Blends, a collection built around an overdose of Hedione. Initio's own description pairs magnolia and almond with that molecule over jasmine, heliotrope, vanilla and sandalwood. The brand sells it as unisex, as it does all its scents.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Initio Parfums Privés stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Fans of almond and heliotrope, the cosy, powdery side of florals, are the natural audience. It is sweet, and some find it simple, so a buyer after a complex or green floral should look elsewhere.
