Hundred Silent Ways, inspired by Nishane Hundred Silent Ways (2016)

Peach and mandarin give the opening a rounded fruitiness that slides quickly into tuberose. Gardenia and white jasmine thicken the bouquet, and orris, the dried root of the iris, adds a cool, powdery note that keeps the flowers from becoming too heady. Vanilla and sandalwood form a smooth base, with vetiver giving a little dryness at the edges. It is lush but well mannered.

About the original

Nishane released Hundred Silent Ways in 2016 as part of its Rumi collection, describing it as a tribute to well-loved perfumes. It is sold as an Extrait de Parfum and remains in Nishane's current range. A later flanker, Hundred Silent Ways X, is a separate fragrance.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Nishane stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Lovers of tuberose and gardenia who find some white florals too loud will appreciate how rounded this one is. The orris and vanilla give it a powdery side that some find generic, so anyone seeking a green or fresh floral should look elsewhere.

The original Hundred Silent Ways from 2016. The X version is a later, separate flanker.

Is it a powdery scent?

Partly. Orris and vanilla give it some powder, but the main impression is lush white flowers over smooth wood.
