Ink Mark

Ink Mark, inspired by Louis Vuitton Ink Mark (2025)

Ink Mark takes its idea from Chinese calligraphy ink, which is made by slowly reducing wood to soot. Sandalwood forms the body, smooth and milky, while white incense adds a clean, mineral smoke rather than a heavy one. Magnolia and rose give the woods a floral sheen. Amber lingers at the end, so the dry, inky impression softens into something rounder.

About the original

Louis Vuitton first released Ink Mark in China in October 2025, one of three scents inspired by China alongside Moon Tale and Rain Tea, which has since been renamed Tea Storm. The trio launched worldwide in 2026 within the brand's Perfumes of the World collection. Jacques Cavallier Belletrud created it, with one trade report also crediting Camille Cavallier, and Marc Newson designed the bottle after Chinese snuff bottles. Louis Vuitton lists it simply as a perfume and presents it to both men and women.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Louis Vuitton stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Those drawn to sandalwood and incense, but put off by sweet ambers or heavy smoke, are the most likely fans. The smoke is quiet and dry throughout. There is little here in the way of a bold floral or a fresh opening.
