Limette 37

Limette 37, inspired by Le Labo Limette 37 (2013)

Despite its name, Limette 37 does not list lime among its notes. It opens on bergamot, fresh and clean, then shifts through jasmine and petitgrain into a clove-spiced middle. Vetiver and tonka bean then round off the spice. Le Labo calls it an 'olfactive roller coaster', and the move from citrus into spice is easy to follow.

About the original

Limette 37 is Le Labo's San Francisco city exclusive, launched in May 2013 and first sold in 100 ml at Barneys San Francisco and the brand's Fillmore Street shop. The brand says it traces the hilly route from that shop down to the bay. Like other city exclusives, it is sold all year in Le Labo's San Francisco locations and online only during the annual city-exclusive window in August and September.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Le Labo stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Clean, fresh scents with a spicy twist are its territory. The clove is noticeable in the heart, so it is less straightforward than a pure citrus, and lime lovers expecting green zest may be surprised.
