Orage, inspired by Louis Vuitton Orage (2018)

Bergamot gives Orage a brief, clean lift before the patchouli arrives. This is patchouli leaf, which reads earthy and green rather than chocolatey. Iris sits beside it with a cool, powdery texture, while vetiver, a grass root with a smoky, vegetal smell, keeps the structure lean. Ambrette, a seed with a natural musky scent, smooths the edges toward the end.

About the original

Louis Vuitton launched Orage in 2018 within its first collection for men, alongside L'Immensité, Nouveau Monde, Sur la Route and Au Hasard. Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, the house's master perfumer, composed it. The brand sums it up as patchouli embracing the elegance of iris. The bottle is refillable, and a travel spray with refills is also sold.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Louis Vuitton stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

This is patchouli for men who usually find it too heavy or sweet: the iris and vetiver keep it dry and composed. Iris has a lipstick-like, powdery side that can feel cosmetic to someone expecting pure wood.
