Prodigy, inspired by Mind Games Prodigy (2024)

Rose absolute and cardamom open Prodigy together, the spice adding a cool, aromatic lift to the flower, with bergamot keeping it fresh. Patchouli then gives the rose an earthy floor. A caffè latte accord, milky rather than roasted, blends into it alongside longoza flower. The finish is smooth and quiet: sandalwood, vanilla and blonde woods.

About the original

Prodigy launched in autumn 2024 as one of two scents, with Mentor, in Perfumer Extraordinaire, the third collection from Mind Games. Nathalie Benareau composed it. At launch, the limited decanter set came with two vials of raw materials, patchouli and rose absolute. Robb Report found its gourmand side subtler than Mentor's, with the rose giving it a unisex lean.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Mind Games stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Rose lovers who are wary of coffee scents are the likeliest fans, since Robb Report found the gourmand side subtle. Robb Report rated it an all-season wear. The patchouli adds an earthy depth that some may find dusty.

Does Prodigy smell strongly of coffee?

Not strongly. The caffè latte accord is creamy and shares the heart with patchouli, and Robb Report judged the gourmand side subtle.

What is the difference between Prodigy and Mentor?

They were launched together in the Perfumer Extraordinaire collection. Prodigy is a rose-led floral woody, and Robb Report found its gourmand side subtler than Mentor's.
