Oud Fleur

Oud Fleur, inspired by Tom Ford Oud Fleur (2013)

Rose and oud is an old pairing in Middle Eastern perfumery, and Oud Fleur treats it as a dark, balsamic duet. The rose sits on top, then agarwood (oud), the resin-soaked heartwood of the aquilaria tree, gives it a dense woody undertone. Resins and patchouli thicken the middle. Sandalwood rounds off the base with a slightly powdery smoothness.

About the original

Oud Fleur appeared in October 2013 in the Private Blend collection, launched together with Tobacco Oud as an expansion of the house's oud scents. Tom Ford's own copy described it simply as a blend of oud wood and rosewood; the fuller note list comes from fragrance references. Of the brand's ouds, only Oud Wood, Oud Minérale and Oud Voyager are still listed, and Oud Fleur has been reported as no longer produced.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Tom Ford stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Wearers drawn to resin and dark rose will find it straightforward, since nothing citrusy or green lightens it. Rose stays audible throughout, so a buyer after pure, unadorned oud may find the floral side too prominent.

Is Tom Ford Oud Fleur discontinued?

Tom Ford's current range no longer includes it, and owners have reported in recent years that it is no longer produced. We have not found a brand statement.

Was Oud Fleur launched with Tobacco Oud?

Yes. Both arrived in October 2013 as additions to the Private Blend oud scents. We make Tobacco Oud as a separate product.

Does it smell more of rose or of oud?

Rose leads at first and stays clear, but the oud, resins and patchouli give the overall character its dark, balsamic weight.

Is Tom Ford Oud Fleur coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Tom Ford that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
