Purple Accento

Purple Accento, inspired by Xerjoff Purple Accento (c. 2016)

Pineapple arrives straight away, supported by bergamot and mandarin, while hyacinth adds a cool green-floral note. Loganberry, a cross between raspberry and blackberry, darkens the fruit as the heart opens, and orris (iris root) turns it powdery alongside jasmine and pink pepper. In the base, amber, vanilla and sandalwood lead, and oud stays in the background as support rather than taking over.

About the original

Purple Accento sits in Xerjoff's Vibe collection and is a different fragrance from the house's Accento and Accento Overdose. According to fragrance references it first appeared around 2016 as a Crystal Edition, and a version in the regular Vibe bottle followed in 2025; sources disagree on the dates, and we have not found Xerjoff confirming them. The Crystal Edition is still sold by Xerjoff. Chris Maurice is usually credited as the perfumer in fragrance references.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Xerjoff stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Fruit-lovers who also like powder will find the balance familiar; the pineapple and berry opening is sweet, and the move into amber is the part opinions split on. The base is ambery and vanilla-sweet, which buyers after a crisp fruity scent should bear in mind.

Is Purple Accento the same as the Crystal Edition?

Retailer pages list the same notes for both, but Xerjoff has not confirmed that the formulas are identical. Our version takes the regular bottling as its reference.

How is it different from Xerjoff Accento?

Accento is a separate Xerjoff fragrance, which we also make. Purple Accento is built around pineapple, loganberry and orris with an amber base.

Does Purple Accento smell of oud?

Only slightly. Oud is listed in the base, but Xerjoff describes it as supporting the amber and vanilla rather than dominating.
