The Scent Of Peace For Him, inspired by Bond No. 9 The Scent of Peace for Him (2013)

Pineapple and bergamot make a fresh, slightly tart start, and juniper berry adds the gin-like, resinous bite of crushed conifer. Blackcurrant then brings a leafy fruitiness that sits over cedarwood and vetiver, so the middle feels green and woody at once. In the base, moss and patchouli give an earthy, forest-floor depth, while musk and amber smooth the edges.

About the original

Bond No. 9 announced The Scent of Peace for Him in September 2013 and launched it that October as the men's counterpart to The Scent of Peace, its 2009 women's bestseller. Some fragrance references date it to 2014. The brand files it under woody and earthy as well as fresh, and calls it a soothing and assured modern masculine blend. Bond No. 9 also sells The Scent of Peace for All and The Scent of Peace Natural, which are separate products.

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Bond No. 9 stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

An easy-going choice for men who usually wear fresh, fruity woods and want a little more moss and vetiver in the base. Nothing in the note list is smoky or gourmand. Fans of heavier ambers or gourmands may find it too restrained.
