Khamrah Qahwa, inspired by Lattafa Khamrah Qahwa (2023)

Cardamom is the spice that gives Arabic coffee its aroma, and here it opens alongside cinnamon and ginger for a fragrant, spiced start. Praline and candied fruits follow with a sticky sweetness, with white flowers tucked into the middle. Coffee comes through in the base with vanilla, tonka bean and benzoin, a balsamic resin with a vanilla-like tone. One review notes that the coffee's bitterness cuts the praline and makes the trail more intimate than the original Khamrah.

About the original

Lattafa released Khamrah Qahwa in 2023 as the coffee flanker of Khamrah. Qahwa is the Arabic word for coffee, and the theme draws on Arabic coffee and majlis hospitality. The original Khamrah is often compared with Kilian Angels' Share; Qahwa adds coffee and cardamom.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Lattafa stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Owners of the original Khamrah who want a coffee variation are the obvious audience. It is still a sweet, spiced scent, with the coffee more of a counterweight than the lead. Anyone avoiding dense gourmands or cinnamon should try something lighter.

Qahwa adds coffee and cardamom. The coffee gives a bitter note that tones down the sweetness. We make both.

Does it smell strongly of coffee?

Coffee sits in the base with vanilla and tonka, so the spices and praline come first and the roasted note builds as it dries.
