All About Eve, inspired by Joop! All About Eve (1996)

Apple is the first thing you notice, crisp and green with a rounder red-apple sweetness behind it. Jasmine softens the fruit in the middle, while a pinch of cinnamon gives it a faint baked-apple warmth without turning heavy. Vanilla then sweetens the base, and vetiver, a root with a dry, earthy, grassy smell, keeps it from becoming sugary.

About the original

Joop! released All About Eve in 1996 as an eau de parfum, and the brand currently lists it in a 40 ml size. One perfume reference credits the fragrance house Créations Aromatiques, without naming an individual perfumer. A male counterpart, What About Adam, followed in 1998. Joop! fragrances are made under licence by Coty, and All About Eve is still listed on the brand's German website.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Joop! stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Retailers position it as a daytime and summer scent, and the fresh apple opening supports that. It sits between fruity and spicy, so it may feel too sweet for lovers of green florals and too light for those who want a full oriental.
