Extradose starts with blackcurrant, tart and dark, lifted by bergamot and mandarin. A rum accord soon follows, giving the middle a gentle boozy warmth, with jasmine sambac in the background. Valentino files it as a floral amber, but the flowers stay quiet. Bourbon vanilla extract makes up most of the drydown, dense and sweet.

About the original

Valentino announced Donna Born in Roma Extradose in January 2025, together with Uomo Born in Roma Extradose, as flankers of the 2019 Born in Roma pair. Valentino describes it as the highest concentration in the Donna line. It comes in the line's pink studded bottle. The women's Extradose is still in Valentino's official range; the men's version no longer is, according to Valentino's UK and German sites.
