Donna, inspired by Valentino Donna (2015)

Grapefruit and bergamot give a quick, citrus start before the rose takes over. Iris joins it, and together they produce a powdery, pink, make-up-bag effect. Praline adds a nutty sweetness, and Valentino also mentions peach, so the heart feels fruity and rounded. Leather in the base gives the powder some backbone, while vanilla and patchouli carry it to a chalky, close-wearing finish.

About the original

Valentino launched Donna in autumn 2015 as the women's partner to Valentino Uomo. Sonia Constant and Antoine Maisondieu composed it, and it was the first Valentino perfume in the studded bottle, here in pink. Valentino Beauty now lists the Eau de Parfum among its discontinued products. It is a different fragrance from Donna Born in Roma (2019) and has no link to Trussardi Donna, both of which we also sell.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Valentino stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

An office-friendly rose for those who like iris and powder. It sits close to the skin once settled. The sweet, fruity opening and cosmetic powder may not appeal to fans of green or dewy roses.

Yes. Valentino Beauty lists the 2015 Eau de Parfum as discontinued.

Is this the same as Donna Born in Roma?

No. Donna (2015) is a rose and iris fragrance; Born in Roma (2019) is built on jasmine and vanilla. We make both.

Is this Valentino Donna or Trussardi Donna?

Valentino Donna. Trussardi Donna is an unrelated fragrance with the same name, also in our range.

Is Valentino Donna coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Valentino that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days. It arrives in 3 to 7 days across the EU and in 7 to 14 days outside the EU. You have 14 days to return an unopened bottle.
