The One

The One, inspired by Dolce & Gabbana The One Eau de Parfum for women (2006)

The One starts fruity, with peach and lychee lifted by mandarin and bergamot. Its floral centre of lily, jasmine and lily of the valley is pretty and polished rather than heady. Plum and vanilla bring a deeper sweetness as it settles, and amber with a little vetiver gives the base a golden, slightly woody depth. D&G sums it up as intense yet delicate, which fits.

About the original

Christine Nagel created The One for Dolce & Gabbana in 2006. The men's The One arrived two years later and is a separate scent. Since then the women's line has grown to include Desire, Essence, The Only One and, in 2026, an Eau de Parfum Intense. Dolce & Gabbana now classes the original as a floral amber.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Dolce & Gabbana stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Fruit and vanilla give it an obvious sweetness, and the overall effect is pleasing rather than challenging. It wears as polished and feminine rather than heavy. Buyers after something unusual or edgy will find it conventional.

The women's eau de parfum from 2006. The men's The One (2008) is a separate fragrance that we also offer.

Is it the same as The One Essence or The Only One?

No. Both came later and have their own compositions; this page follows the original women's eau de parfum.

Why do note lists for The One vary?

Databases list peach, lychee, lily and vanilla, while Dolce & Gabbana's current page summarises it as mandarin, rose and vanilla. Both describe a fruity floral amber.
