Queen of Silk, inspired by Creed Queen of Silk (2024)

Queen of Silk opens on osmanthus, a blossom with an apricot and suede facet, alongside creamy magnolia and a thread of saffron. Tuberose fills the heart, less sugary than many and with a green, buttery quality, while passion fruit adds a tart sparkle and agarwood (oud) a woody shadow. The base turns resinous and smooth, with vanilla, incense, myrrh and cedar. Silky is the word Creed uses, and the texture bears it out.

About the original

Creed launched Queen of Silk in spring 2024 in a violet bottle, a colour one retailer links to dyes once reserved for royalty. The name is said to refer to the Silk Road trade in spices and woods. One retailer credits perfumer Emilie Bouge, who created Creed Eladaria. Creed lists it among its women's fragrances, and some retailers label it as a Millésime.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Creed stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

White-floral lovers who want more depth than a straightforward tuberose will find plenty here. The spice, incense and oud give it a rich, opulent feel. If tuberose tends to feel heady to you, this may be too much.

There is agarwood in the heart, but it supports the tuberose rather than dominating. The overall effect is floral and ambery.

It has vanilla and fruit, but the tuberose reads green and buttery rather than sugary, and incense and myrrh balance the base.

How does it compare with Eladaria?

Eladaria is a fresh, citrus-lit rose, while Queen of Silk is a richer tuberose amber with spice and resin. We make both.
