Fleur De Lait, inspired by Miu Miu Fleur de Lait (2023)

Fleur de Lait starts with ripe mango, fleshy and sweet rather than tart. Osmanthus, a small Asian blossom with a scent reminiscent of dried apricot, takes the fruit in a floral direction. A coconut-milk accord then pours underneath, rounding the edges into something dessert-like without stickiness. The overall effect is pastel and smooth, with no green or citrus bite.

About the original

Daniela Andrier created Fleur de Lait for Miu Miu, and it appeared in January 2023 as an eau de parfum. It is a flanker of the original Miu Miu fragrance of 2015, and its inspiration was mango pomelo sago, a chilled dessert of mango, citrus and sago pearls. Sephora UK describes it as a fruity floramber. Andrier also composed L'Eau Bleue for the same line.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Miu Miu stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Texture is the draw: milky and fruity, closer to a pudding than a bouquet. It may appeal to gourmand fans who find vanilla-heavy scents too dense, but the coconut milk may prove too rich for a buyer wanting freshness.

How is Fleur de Lait different from Miu Miu L'Eau Bleue?

Both are Miu Miu flankers by Daniela Andrier. L'Eau Bleue is a green lily of the valley over akigalawood, while Fleur de Lait is fruity and milky.
