Flowerbomb Tiger Lily, inspired by Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb Tiger Lily (2024)

Coconut milk arrives first, given a brief citrus lift by bergamot so the start reads milky and slightly tangy. A tiger lily accord then gives the heart its floral character, kept company by jasmine grandiflorum and freesia. As it dries down, mango and benzoin take over: the fruit is ripe, and benzoin, a balsamic resin with a vanilla-like sweetness, gives the base an amber feel. Coconut is most noticeable early on, and the overall effect is sunny and fruity.

About the original

Viktor&Rolf released Flowerbomb Tiger Lily at the start of 2024 as a flanker to the original Flowerbomb from 2005. It followed Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid (2021), and its bottle design is credited to Fabien Baron. The brand presents it as a summer fragrance. No perfumer is named on Viktor&Rolf's own pages.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Viktor&Rolf stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Lovers of coconut and tropical fruit are the obvious audience, and the brand itself positions it for summer. Coconut sceptics should note that it leads the opening, and the base stays sweet rather than dry.

Yes. A coconut milk accord is one of the top notes and is the most noticeable part of the opening, before the florals and mango take over.

The drydown of mango and benzoin is sweet and fruity. Bergamot and freesia keep the early stages a little fresher.
