Etoile Filante, inspired by Louis Vuitton Étoile Filante (2021)

Osmanthus is a small Asian flower that smells naturally of apricot, which is why Louis Vuitton calls it fruity and soft. Jasmine from Grasse gives the heart a velvety texture, and magnolia keeps it airy. Launch press also pointed to apricot and strawberry facets, so the effect is a radiant fruity floral rather than a heady white bouquet.

About the original

Étoile Filante, French for 'shooting star', went on sale on 28 January 2021 through Louis Vuitton's website and selected stores. Jacques Cavallier Belletrud has said osmanthus was his first revelation among perfume materials, and he made it the centre of this scent. LV files it among its women's fragrances and still sells it.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Louis Vuitton stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Apricot-toned, polished florals are its territory. There are no heavy woods or smoke in it, which helps someone who finds oud or gourmand scents overpowering, but a wearer wanting something green or austere will find it too fruity.
