Luna, inspired by Nina Ricci Luna (2016)

Wild berries and citrus make the start tart and lively, with orange blossom softening the fruit. The middle is where it turns gourmand, with caramel and pear joined by immortelle, a flower whose dried scent recalls honey and hay. Liquorice in the base gives an unexpected aniseed edge to the Madagascar vanilla and sandalwood. It stays sweet throughout, though the liquorice and immortelle make it darker than Nina.

About the original

Luna arrived in July 2016 as a companion to Nina (2006), presented as its darker, more mysterious sister. Christophe Raynaud and Marie Salamagne composed it. Several flankers followed, including Luna Blossom (2017), Les Gourmandises de Luna and Les Sorbets de Luna. Nina itself is still sold, but Luna no longer appears in the brand's official range.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Nina Ricci stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Someone with a sweet tooth will get on with it best, since it leans towards dessert from the first spray. Caramel and vanilla are prominent, so it may feel cloying to wearers who prefer fresh or dry fragrances.

Nina is the apple-bottle original from 2006. Luna is its later counterpart, presented as Nina's darker sister, with a caramel heart and a thread of liquorice.

Is this Les Gourmandises de Luna?

No. This page is based on the original Luna (2016), an Eau de Toilette. Les Gourmandises de Luna is a later flanker.

Is Nina Ricci Luna coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Nina Ricci that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
