Costa Azzurra Acqua, inspired by Tom Ford Costa Azzurra Acqua (2019)

Lemon brightens a cluster of aromatic notes: juniper berries with their gin-like freshness and myrtle, a Mediterranean shrub with a green, slightly medicinal scent. Pine needles and cypress form the woody heart. Lentisque, the resin of the mastic tree, joins labdanum and amber in the base, giving a warm, resinous finish to an otherwise cool composition.

About the original

Announced at the end of 2018 and released in 2019, Costa Azzurra Acqua was a Private Blend flanker of Costa Azzurra (2014) within the Neroli Portofino collection. Tom Ford's launch copy summed it up as 'Cool. Salty. Refreshing.', evoking sea air over the scrub of the Mediterranean coast. Listings disagree on the original's concentration, calling it an eau de toilette, a cologne or an eau de parfum. The Acqua is no longer listed, while Costa Azzurra itself remains on sale as an eau de parfum and a parfum.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Tom Ford stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Summer and the seaside are where Tom Ford positioned it. The salty, herbal freshness is balanced by resin in the base, so it never feels thin. Lovers of sweet or floral scents will find it austere.
