Fruity Rooty, inspired by DKNY Delicious Delights Fruity Rooty (2015)

Fruity Rooty smells like a berry sorbet. Blackberry and blueberry give a tart start with mandarin, then candy apple and violet make it sweeter and slightly powdery, with rose in support. Vanilla rounds off the base alongside a little lily. Orange sherbet is a common comparison, and there is no doubt it is a sugary scent.

About the original

DKNY released Fruity Rooty in early 2015 as part of Delicious Delights, a limited collection inspired by ice creams and sorbets that also included Cool Swirl and Dreamsicle. Its full name is Delicious Delights Fruity Rooty, although it is sometimes listed as a Be Delicious scent. It came as a 50 ml eau de toilette and, as a limited edition, is no longer produced.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not DKNY stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Sweet-toothed wearers will enjoy it most, particularly on spring and summer weekends. The sugar is obvious from start to finish, so candy and vanilla notes need to be a pleasure rather than a chore.

Officially it belongs to DKNY's Delicious Delights collection from 2015, a limited series themed on ice creams and sorbets.

Is it very sweet?

Yes. Candy apple and vanilla keep it sugary throughout, with the berries adding some tartness at the start.

Is DKNY Fruity Rooty discontinued?

It was a limited edition from 2015 and is no longer produced.

Is DKNY Fruity Rooty coming back?

It was a limited edition. So far, we have found no announcement from DKNY about a re-release. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days.
