Kissing Burns 6.4 Calories An Hour, inspired by Kilian Paris Kissing (2018)

Kissing pairs a clean floral with a dairy accord. The opening is fresh and almost linen-like, built on bergamot, green notes and lily of the valley. Later, hot milk and sugar candy (Kilian's own description) take over, and vanilla makes the result smooth and lactonic, meaning milky in the way of warm cream.

About the original

By Kilian released it in August 2018 at Sephora as part of My Kind of Love, a four-scent collection pitched at couples with 'incredible chemistry'. Its full name jokes about the calories burned while kissing; sources disagree on whether it says 'a minute' or 'an hour', but the perfume is the same. Calice Becker is usually credited as the perfumer, though that comes from a database rather than the brand. Kissing no longer appears in the range on Kilian's sites, and Surrender to Chance reported that the collection was discontinued in 2021. Princess, from the same line, is still sold.

Who it suits
