L'Eau The One

L'Eau The One, inspired by Dolce & Gabbana L'Eau The One (2009)

Fruit leads here: lychee gives a watery, rosy sweetness and peach a rounder, velvety one, with tangerine and bergamot keeping the top fresh. The heart moves to white flowers, lily and jasmine, joined by plum and lily of the valley. Below, vanilla and amber are kept light, while musk, oakmoss and vetiver give the base a faint dry, mossy edge.

About the original

Dolce & Gabbana released L'Eau The One as a lighter eau de toilette flanker to The One, its 2006 women's fragrance. Sources disagree on the launch year, giving 2008 or 2009, and no perfumer is named in the material available. It is distinct from Rose The One and from the men's The One line. The One Eau de Parfum for women is still sold, but this L'Eau version no longer appears in the current range at retailers.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Dolce & Gabbana stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Women drawn to the idea of The One but put off by its weight are the obvious audience. The lychee and peach do make the opening fairly sweet, so fans of dry or green florals may not take to it.

How does it differ from The One?

It was made as a lighter flanker, and reviews describe it as gentler than The One. We also make a version inspired by The One for women.

Is Dolce & Gabbana L'Eau The One coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Dolce & Gabbana that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
