Lavender Extreme, inspired by Tom Ford Lavender Extrême (2019)

French lavender and Italian bergamot give the opening a lively, aromatic freshness. Carrot seed then brings an earthy, slightly powdery undertone, and lavender absolute adds a deeper, almost hay-like richness to the heart. The base turns smooth with tonka bean and benzoin, creating a soothing warmth rather than heaviness.

About the original

Announced in March 2019 as a Private Blend eau de parfum, Lavender Extrême was Tom Ford's reworking of a classic lavender, layering several lavenders from Provence. The brand summed it up as 'Fresh. Divergent. Stimulating.' It no longer appears on Tom Ford's US or UK sites, although the brand has made no official announcement. Some fragrance references are reported to list it as discontinued.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Tom Ford stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Calm rather than sharp, it keeps lavender at the centre and makes it creamy in the drydown. The carrot seed gives an earthy note some may find unusual. Crisp, barbershop-style lavender this is not; the tonka base keeps it soft.

It is no longer in Tom Ford's current range and has gone from its US and UK sites, but the brand has not made an official announcement.

How is it different from Beau de Jour?

Beau de Jour is a mossy fougère with rosemary and oakmoss. Lavender Extrême is rounder, built on carrot seed with a tonka and benzoin base.

Is Tom Ford Lavender Extreme coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Tom Ford that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
