Cannabis is the theme, but the scent leans into the plant's green, herbal side rather than the smell of smoke alone. As it develops it becomes earthier, with a leathery shade that many wearers notice. Kolmaz publishes very little about the composition, and the only documented note is cannabis itself.

About the original

Marijuana is sold by Kolmaz, a budget brand in the Middle-Eastern style, as an eau de parfum. Its launch year and perfumer are not documented. Fragrance references class it as unisex, although some retailers market it to men. Its structure is disputed too: one database describes lavender, leather and amber, while another classes it as a green chypre.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Kolmaz stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Someone who finds conventional fresh or sweet scents dull is the natural wearer, and autumn and winter are its usual seasons. Opinions on its realism are split, so anyone hoping for a literal cannabis smell may be disappointed, and anyone who dislikes the theme should look elsewhere.

Over time it grows darker and earthier, and the drydown is described as resinous and musky with a smoky thread.
