Hundred Silent Ways X, inspired by Nishane Hundred Silent Ways X (2023)

Hundred Silent Ways X opens on tuberose with a lift of mandarin and peach, so the white flower comes across as luscious rather than heady. Gardenia and jasmine deepen the floral heart, while orris and heliotrope (a flower with an almond and cherry-pie smell) bring a powdery, almost sweet-pastry tone. Vanilla rounds it all into a gourmand finish. Leather and patchouli give that base its shadow, which is the main thing that sets this version apart.

About the original

Nishane released Hundred Silent Ways X around 2023 as a new take on its 2016 Hundred Silent Ways. The brand says it keeps the mood of the original and adds leathery notes for extra polish. It is an extrait de parfum, and Nishane has not named a perfumer for it. Fragrance fragrance references note a powdery undertone and a lean towards the feminine side, despite its unisex marketing.
