Tubéreuse Astrale, inspired by Maison Crivelli Tubéreuse Astrale (2024)

Cinnamon is the surprise at the start, dry and warm, laid over tuberose that feels powdery rather than creamy. Osmanthus brings a soft, apricot-like fruitiness, and carrot seed, which smells earthy and faintly orris-like, gives the flowers a rooty depth. The base is a supple suede-leather accord with cistus labdanum and musk. Osmanthus gives it a faintly peach-like fruitiness.

About the original

Tubéreuse Astrale came out in spring 2024 from Maison Crivelli, the Paris house Thibaud Crivelli founded in 2018. Quentin Bisch composed it with Crivelli, starting from Crivelli's childhood memory of stargazing with his father. The brand classes it as a floral leather and pictures a summer night among tuberoses under the Milky Way. It is sold as an extrait de parfum of about 32% and remains in the house's collection.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Maison Crivelli stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Tuberose fans who find the flower too creamy or too loud in most perfumes may like how the spice and leather ground it here. The house pitches it around a summer night. Cinnamon and powder both run through it, so a sample is wise if either is a dealbreaker.

Is Tubéreuse Astrale a creamy tuberose?

Not especially. Cinnamon, carrot seed and leather make it powdery and spiced rather than creamy or coconut-like.

How is it different from Tom Ford Tubéreuse Nue?

They are separate scents from different houses. Tubéreuse Astrale is built on cinnamon, osmanthus and suede leather. We make both.
