Skin, inspired by Trussardi Skin (2002)

Citrus and apple give Skin a zesty start, and violet leaf, which smells green and faintly of cucumber, keeps the fruit from turning sweet. The heart is a neat bouquet of rose and jasmine, with lily of the valley adding a dewy freshness and rosewood a light woody lift. Cedar and oakmoss shape a dry, mossy drydown, with patchouli underneath.

About the original

Trussardi Parfums launched Skin in June 2002 as a women's fragrance. Sources disagree on whether it was an eau de toilette or an eau de parfum, and on some details of the note list. It is the only Trussardi scent of that name. It no longer appears in Trussardi's current range, although we have found no brand statement saying it has been withdrawn.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Trussardi stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Daytime and casual wear are where retailers placed it, and the profile fits that: dewy flowers, citrus and moss with no gourmand sweetness. The oakmoss and patchouli give it a slightly old-school dryness that may not suit fans of modern sugary florals.

Citrus leads, with lemon, bergamot and mandarin orange, while apple and violet leaf add fruit and greenery; some sources also list peach and pink pepper.

Rose and jasmine with lily of the valley form the heart, carried on rosewood.

The base is cedar and oakmoss over patchouli, with a little musk.

Is Trussardi Skin discontinued?

Trussardi no longer lists it in its current range. We have not seen a formal announcement from the brand.

Was Trussardi Skin an eau de toilette or an eau de parfum?

Sources disagree, so we cannot say for certain which concentration the original was. We make ours as an eau de parfum.

Is Skin a sweet perfume?

Not particularly. The fruit sits at the top, and the base of cedar and oakmoss is dry.

Is Trussardi Skin coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Trussardi that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days.
