K

K, inspired by Dolce & Gabbana K (2019)

K opens with Sicilian lemon and blood orange, the latter adding a slightly bitter, reddish fruit to the citrus. Juniper berries give a gin-like dryness. In the heart, chili pepper brings a gentle heat to clary sage, lavandin and geranium, so the aromatic middle has some bite. Vetiver, cedar and patchouli settle it into a dry, earthy wood.

About the original

K by Dolce&Gabbana was introduced in 2019 as the first scent in a new men's line, with this eau de toilette as the starting point. The brand classes it as woody aromatic spicy, and its official page highlights chili pepper, French lavender and Haitian vetiver. Later versions include an eau de parfum (2020), an EDP Intense, a Parfum and an Elixir; the eau de parfum is a separate composition. Our page takes the 2019 eau de toilette as its reference.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Dolce & Gabbana stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Citrus lovers who want more spice and wood than a typical cologne will get on with K. It starts fresh and turns earthier as the vetiver comes through. The chili and juniper give it an edge that may not appeal to someone after a smooth, sweet fragrance.

Only mildly. The pepper gives the herbal heart a slight bite rather than real heat.
