Brompton Immortals, inspired by Ex Nihilo Brompton Immortals (2018)

Saffron and pink pepper strike first, spicy with a slightly metallic glint. Bulgarian rose then blooms, with jasmine absolute and lisylang, a floral ingredient, filling out the heart. Olibanum (frankincense) and vanilla build a resinous base over patchouli, and white musk smooths the finish. It is rich and enveloping, an amber-rose on the denser side.

About the original

Ex Nihilo launched Brompton Immortals in 2018 as an exclusive for a London department store, with Jordi Fernández as perfumer. The name refers to Brompton Road, the London street where that store stands, while the theme draws on the Egyptian phoenix legend of immortality. An Extrait version also exists. It is unrelated to Ex Nihilo's Gold Immortals, a different scent.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Ex Nihilo stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Rose and amber enthusiasts will find plenty here. Autumn and winter evenings suit its density. The saffron opening and vanilla depth make it heavy for warm weather.
