Oud Pashmina

Oud Pashmina, inspired by Montale Oud Pashmina (2021)

Saffron and incense set a resinous, spiced tone at the start, while lemon and a little sugar ease the entry. The heart pairs rose with oud, dark but smoothed over, and leather and patchouli give it depth. Montale likens the effect to wrapping the oud in a pashmina shawl, with amber, vanilla and musk blurring its edges. Mate, the South American herbal tea, and oakmoss add a dry, grassy shade to the base.

About the original

Oud Pashmina appeared in 2021; CaFleurebon wrote about it as a new Montale release that June. Montale files it in its amber family. The name refers to the fine wool shawl, and the theme throughout is softness. Commentators described it as smooth and easy to wear by the standards of oud.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Montale stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Next to Black Aoud or Fantastic Oud, this is the gentler, more cocooning option. It still carries oud and leather, so a buyer who wants vanilla without any wood should look elsewhere.
