Cypress & Grapevine, inspired by Jo Malone London Cypress & Grapevine Cologne Intense (2020)

Cypress leads with its resinous, evergreen freshness, like crushed needles. The grapevine accord gives a leafy, faintly fruity green note rather than sweet grapes. Amber in the base warms everything without making it heavy. Jo Malone describes it as fresh and woody, refined and bold.

About the original

Sophie Labbé created Cypress & Grapevine for Jo Malone London's Lost in Wonder collection in 2020. It became a bestseller and joined the permanent Cologne Intense line. Launch coverage listed a longer set of notes, including lavender, wine grape, cedarwood, vetiver and moss. Body spray, candle and bath products share the name; this page is based on the Cologne Intense.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Jo Malone London stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Woody aromatics with a green, outdoorsy character are its natural territory. It has very little sweetness, so those who prefer warm, ambery scents may find it austere.
