Duro, inspired by Nasomatto Duro (2007)

Duro is built on woods and leather, darkened with spices and patchouli. Retailers describe an oud-like, animalic quality in the mix, tempered by cedar that reads sweet and spicy rather than pencil-dry. Patchouli adds an earthy, slightly damp depth. The texture is thick and compact, with no citrus or green opening to lighten the entry.

About the original

'Duro' is Italian for 'hard', and Nasomatto markets the scent to men, saying it 'aims to enhance all the manifestations of male strength'. It was among the first releases Alessandro Gualtieri made for the brand, dated 2007 by Nasomatto and 2008 in some databases. The cap is wenge, a dark tropical wood. References disagree on whether oud belongs on the note list, which the house itself does not publish.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Nasomatto stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits
