Ginger Biscuit

Ginger Biscuit, inspired by Jo Malone London Ginger Biscuit Cologne (2013)

Ginger opens it with a spiced bite, joined by nutmeg and cinnamon, so it smells less like fresh root and more like a baking tray. Caramel and buttery roasted hazelnut follow. Tonka bean and vanilla form the base, a sweet, almond-like finish that rounds off the spices. It is unmistakably a biscuit scent.

About the original

Jo Malone London first released Ginger Biscuit Cologne in 2013 in its limited-edition Sugar & Spice collection. Since then it has returned in Christmas collections, including 'Welcome to Gingerbread Land' in 2023 and again in 2024, and it is on sale again in autumn 2026. Christine Nagel is reported as the perfumer, although Jo Malone has not confirmed the credit. A candle shares the name; our reference is the cologne.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Jo Malone London stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Winter and the festive season are when Jo Malone sells it, and the gingerbread mood fits. Its sweetness is plainly edible, which will put off anyone who avoids gourmands.

How is it different from Nutmeg & Ginger?

Nutmeg & Ginger is a separate Jo Malone cologne. Ginger Biscuit is the gourmand of the two, with hazelnut, caramel and tonka.
