Gyan Le Gemme, inspired by Bvlgari Le Gemme Gyan (2016)

Jasmine sambac, the Arabian jasmine with a fuller, slightly fruity and indolic character, opens the scent. Patchouli quickly anchors it, earthy and a little damp, and incense threads smoke through both. Rather than a bouquet, the result is a dusky floral wood, with the jasmine sitting inside the resin.

About the original

Jacques Cavallier created Gyan for the Le Gemme Men collection, which press coverage dates to 2016; some sources date the line earlier through Middle East launches. Its name comes from the Sanskrit word for divine wisdom, and Bvlgari ties it to the blue sapphire, Kashmir and the Himalayas. Le Gemme is Bvlgari's high-end collection.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Bvlgari stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Men who already wear jasmine, or would like to, will find it framed in a distinctly masculine, woody way. The indolic jasmine and smoky incense together may feel heavy to anyone who wants a clean, fresh scent.
