Kredo, inspired by Nishane Kredo

Pink pepper and cardamom start it off with a dry, aromatic spice. Osmanthus follows, a flower with an apricot-and-leather smell that ties the spice to the base. From there it turns to suede and oud, with sandalwood smoothing the woody part. The result is spicy and slightly animalic, with more texture than sweetness.

About the original

Nishane lists Kredo as an Extrait de Parfum in its Time Capsule Collection; one retailer connects it to the house's earlier Esperanto theme. The brand's own description is spicy, leathery and woody. That same retailer names Jean-Louis Sieuzac as the perfumer, so the credit is likely rather than official.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Nishane stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Leather and oud enthusiasts who like some spice up front are the natural match. It feels dense and textured rather than fresh. The animalic, suede-like side of the base may be too much for wearers who prefer clean woods.
