Not a Perfume Superdose, inspired by Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume Superdose (2019)

There is only one ingredient to describe: Cetalox, a Firmenich version of ambrox. It smells clean and mineral, somewhere between pale wood, salty skin and amber, with a gentle musky glow. Rather than moving through stages, it sits on the skin and mingles with the wearer's own scent. Superdose presents that same profile with more density and depth than the lighter original.

About the original

Not a Perfume launched in 2010 as a fragrance built on one molecule. In September 2019 the house followed it with Superdose, an overdosed version for fans who found the original too light; the official site simply calls it Superdose. The brand states a 20% concentration for its own Superdose eau de parfum. Both versions are still sold.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Juliette Has a Gun stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Minimalists who dislike sweetness, florals or anything that smells obviously like perfume are its natural audience. Anyone hoping for a scent with a recognisable top, heart and base will find it too abstract.

What is the difference between Not a Perfume and Superdose?

Both originals use the same single molecule, Cetalox. The brand describes Superdose as an overdosed version, at 20% concentration in its own eau de parfum, aimed at people who found Not a Perfume too light. We make both.

What does Cetalox smell like?

It is an ambrox material: clean, woody and ambery with a mineral, skin-like quality.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days. It arrives in 3 to 7 days across the EU and in 7 to 14 days outside the EU. You have 14 days to return an unopened bottle.
