Nudiflorum, inspired by Nasomatto Nudiflorum (2018)

Nudiflorum begins tart and green with rhubarb, then turns rosy and fruity with raspberry. Amyl salicylate, a material with a sunny, sun-lotion smell, sits in the heart, which explains why one retailer mentions a sun-lotion facet. Beneath the flowers lies a skin-like base of leather, animal notes, oakmoss and cedar. Retailers also note a powdery side and, later on, a smoky, woody edge.

About the original

Nasomatto released Nudiflorum in 2018, with Alessandro Gualtieri as its creator. The brand describes it as 'a nude desire in the translucence of our senses', and the cap is padauk wood. Since Nasomatto lists no notes, the version used here follows a database pyramid: rhubarb on top, raspberry, amyl salicylate and rose in the heart, then leather, animal notes, oakmoss and cedar. Retailer lists overlap with it only partly.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Nasomatto stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its animalic side is the main thing to weigh up. Wearers who enjoy rose with a fleshy, musky undertone will find it intriguing, while a buyer wanting a fresh or simply pretty rose may not.
