Paragon, inspired by Initio Parfums Privés Paragon (2022)

Bergamot and white sage set an aromatic, slightly smoky tone from the first moment. Lavender and plum then meet in the heart, the plum adding a dark, ripe roundness to the herbs. Palo santo, a South American wood with a resinous, incense-like scent, gives Paragon its meditative character, and black pepper warms it. Sandalwood forms the base, with agarwood that many find hard to detect.

About the original

Initio released Paragon in autumn 2022 as the third fragrance in its Hedonist Collection, after Musk Therapy and Rehab. The house presents these scents as mantras. The original is sold as an extrait de parfum and marketed as unisex. Initio's own note list omits plum, though several retailers and launch coverage include it.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Initio Parfums Privés stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Launch coverage suggested autumn, and the smoky woods and herbs suit that. A fresh, bright lavender it is not: the palo santo and pepper make it darker and more contemplative.

No. Initio sells Paragon as an extrait de parfum; ours is an eau de parfum inspired by it.
