Spring Flower, inspired by Creed Spring Flower (1996)

Spring Flower opens with grapefruit, lemon and bergamot cut with green notes, a crisp and slightly tart start. The fruit soon moves to the front: peach and apricot, ripe and rounded, with jasmine and white flowers behind them. Many wearers find the fruit sweet, close to candied, so the floral side reads as background colour. Ambroxan, a modern ambergris-like material with a clean, mineral tone, joins cedar and musk in the base.

About the original

Creed released Spring Flower in 1996 as a women's fragrance, and it remains in the range as an eau de parfum. Older note lists name melon and apple, which Creed's current pyramid leaves out. Some longtime wearers believe the scent has been reformulated over the years, though Creed has not said so.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Creed stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Spring days and daytime wear suit its light, fruity character best. The sweetness of the peach and apricot is the main thing to weigh: some people find it candy-like or slightly synthetic, and a green, classical floral it is not.

Mostly fruity. Peach and apricot lead, and the jasmine and white flowers stay in the background.

How does it differ from Creed Wind Flowers?

Wind Flowers (2022) is a richer white floral with tuberose, iris and praline. Spring Flower is lighter and fruit-led.
