Teint De Neige, inspired by Lorenzo Villoresi Teint de Neige (2000)

The whole idea here is Belle Époque face powder, and the powdery effect runs from the first spray to the end. Beneath it the flowers are easy to pick out, with rose and jasmine at the centre and ylang-ylang adding a rich, slightly fruity sweetness. Heliotrope, a flower with an almond and vanilla tone, deepens it gradually alongside tonka bean. Musk keeps the drydown clean.

About the original

Lorenzo Villoresi created Teint de Neige for his own Florence house, and it is generally dated to 2000. It has since grown into a whole line, sold in several concentrations as well as oil and solid formats and body and hair products. The eau de toilette is the original and the version used as the reference here.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Lorenzo Villoresi stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Nostalgia is its main appeal, and it suits those who like scents that smell openly of cosmetics. Powder dominates from start to finish, and some call it an acquired taste, so anyone who dislikes powdery or vintage-styled perfume should steer clear.

Powdery notes arrive with rose and jasmine straight away, the effect closer to a powder puff than a bouquet.

Ylang-ylang brings a rich, slightly fruity floral note to the middle.

Heliotrope, tonka bean and musk finish it, sweet and almond-tinged, with the powder still there at the end.

We use the original eau de toilette as the reference. Villoresi also sells it as an eau de parfum and an extrait, among other forms.
