The One Mysterious Night, inspired by Dolce & Gabbana The One Mysterious Night (2018)

Saffron sets the tone from the first spray, its leathery, honeyed spice paired with the bitter citrus of grapefruit. Rose absolute and an oud accord then form the core; oud is the dark, resinous wood also called agarwood, here recreated as an accord. Clary sage adds a herbal note between them. The base sinks into amber, woods and labdanum (a sticky rockrose resin with a leathery feel), with tonka bean softening the edges.

About the original

Dolce & Gabbana released Mysterious Night in mid-2018 as a regional flanker of The One for Men (2008), made for the Middle East. It was the house's second exclusive edition for that region, after The One Royal Night (2015). Where The One for Men is known for spicy tobacco, this version moves to an oud-and-rose profile lit by saffron.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Dolce & Gabbana stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

If The One for Men feels too tobacco-led, this flanker takes its warmth in a darker, oud-led direction. The oud and labdanum make it dense and resin-heavy, and the rose is prominent, so a buyer wanting a fresh or clean scent should look elsewhere.

Is The One Mysterious Night still made?

It was created as a Middle East exclusive. We have not been able to confirm whether Dolce & Gabbana still produces it.
