English Pear & Sweet Pea, inspired by Jo Malone London English Pear & Sweet Pea Cologne (2023)

Williams pear starts it off, ripe and watery, with the grainy sweetness of fruit eaten straight from the tree. Sweet pea follows, a delicate, fresh-cut flower with a faint green, almost dewy tone. White musk then gathers both into a clean, gently powdery skin scent. The result is lighter and more floral than its older sibling, English Pear & Freesia.

About the original

Jo Malone London introduced English Pear & Sweet Pea in September 2023 as a new member of its English Pear family, alongside the well-known English Pear & Freesia. The brand describes it as a fresh, optimistic spring day and says each bottle contains the equivalent of one pear. No perfumer is named in the launch material.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Jo Malone London stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

In spring and summer it feels at home, light enough to wear without thought. With no spice or woody base to speak of, it can feel slight to a wearer used to richer scents.
