Narcos'Is, inspired by Vertus Narcos'is (2017)

Narcos'is mixes things that rarely meet: roasted coffee and green cardamom alongside tart rhubarb and mandarin. Mango then moves to the centre, with ginger giving it a peppery bite and amber a resinous sweetness. Peach softens the drydown, while vetiver and ambergris keep it from turning syrupy. Vertus itself calls it an addictive fruity amber.

About the original

Vertus, which sells its line direct, launched Narcos'is in 2017. The house describes it as a fruity amber where coffee and mango meet ginger and woods. Its current description also mentions white florals and musk, which do not appear in the published note list, so this page sticks to the documented notes. It remains in the Vertus range.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Vertus stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Coffee lovers who want fruit alongside the roast may like it. Sweetness and tropical mango are prominent, and the mix of roasted and fruity notes can feel unusual at first.

Coffee is in the opening with cardamom, but fruit takes over: mango, peach and rhubarb shape most of its development.

Both centre on mango. Narcos'is pairs it with coffee and ginger, whereas Mango Skin sets it beside blackberry and black pepper over vanilla.
