Oudgasm Chocolate Oud, inspired by Kayali Oudgasm Chocolate Oud | 11 (2025)

Caramel apple and spiced rum give the top a boozy, toffee-coated sweetness, with mate (a tea-like, grassy herb) adding a dry note. Smoke enters in the heart through incense and cinnamon, while orris, the powdery root behind iris scents, gives it a velvety texture and jasmine a floral thread. The base is dark cocoa over chocolate oud and sandalwood. Oud here is filtered through a dessert lens, so it reads sweet and smoky rather than dry or animalic.

About the original

Kayali released Oudgasm Chocolate Oud on 1 September 2025, together with Oudgasm Milky Musk Oud 30. It extends the Oudgasm collection, which began as four Eau de Parfum Intense oud scents. Kayali's site credits perfumer Hamid Merati-Kashan. Despite the number, it has nothing to do with Kayali Elixir 11.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Kayali stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Kayali promotes it for date nights, and press describes it as rich, sweet, spicy and smoky. Incense smoke and cinnamon are noticeable and the cocoa base is sweet, so it will disappoint anyone looking for a traditional dry oud.

No, the shared number 11 is a coincidence. Elixir 11 is a fruity rose from 2018, which we also make.

Is the original an Eau de Parfum or an Eau de Parfum Intense?

Sources differ: one retailer lists the original as an Eau de Parfum, while another retailer calls it an Eau de Parfum Intense, like the earlier Oudgasm scents. Ours is made as an eau de parfum.
