Toy 2 Pearl, inspired by Moschino Toy 2 Pearl (2023)

Lemon dominates the opening, part zest and part icy sorbet, and a pinch of oregano gives it an unexpected herbal bite against a salty edge. That savoury twist is what sets it apart from a standard citrus. As it develops, jasmine and freesia bring a sunny floral heart, and a sand accord suggests warm beach sand. Vetiver, cypress and musk finish it in a dry, lightly woody way.

About the original

Toy 2 Pearl arrived in 2023 from Euroitalia, Moschino's fragrance licensee, as a flanker of Toy 2 (2018) after Toy 2 Bubble Gum. Domitille Michalon-Bertier of IFF composed it. The theme is Tahitian mother of pearl and an island beach, carried into an iridescent, mermaid-toned version of the teddy bear bottle, with Devon Aoki in the campaign. Several retailers present it as genderless, although some file it under women's fragrance.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Moschino stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Brand copy ties it to summer days and a beach mood, and its salty lemon reads best in heat. Anyone after a sweet, candied scent may find the oregano and vetiver too savoury.

First comes lemon in two forms, fresh peel and a sweeter sorbet, sharpened by green oregano.

Jasmine and freesia open the heart, with the sand accord giving a mineral, sun-dried texture.

It settles on vetiver, cypress and musk, clean and slightly sweet-woody.

Toy 2 Pearl is a 2023 flanker with a salty lemon, oregano and sand accord theme. Toy 2 (2018) is the original it was built from, and we make both.
