Toy 2, inspired by Moschino Toy 2 (2018)

Granny Smith apple sets the tone: tart, green and crunchy, with mandarin adding a citrus snap. Magnolia, jasmine and peony give the heart a petal-like quality, and white currant keeps a slightly sour, berry-skin freshness in the mix. Launch press called it a woody floral musk, and the drydown bears that out, with musk, sandalwood and amber woods forming a pale, woody base. Reviews often liken the overall effect to freshly washed hair.

About the original

Moschino launched Toy 2 in September 2018 as the follow-up to the original Toy of 2014, again in the frosted teddy-bear bottle. Creative director Jeremy Scott directed the campaign, which starred Devon Aoki and was photographed by Steven Meisel. The bear bottle has since carried several flankers, including Toy 2 Bubble Gum, Toy 2 Pearl and Toy 2 Yummy. Launch press does not name the perfumer.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Moschino stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its appeal is cleanliness: apple, flowers and musk, with no heavy vanilla or smoke. It suits someone after an uncomplicated fresh floral, though a buyer hoping for depth or richness may find the musky finish rather plain.

Is this Toy 2 or Toy 2 Bubble Gum?

This page is inspired by the original Toy 2, an eau de parfum from 2018 and the fresh apple floral of the line. Toy 2 Bubble Gum is a separate flanker (an eau de toilette) with its own page in our shop.

Is Toy 2 sweet?

Not much. The fruit is tart apple and white currant, and the base is clean musk and woods rather than vanilla.
