A Mi Aire Loewe, inspired by Loewe A Mi Aire (2006)

Mandarin and bergamot open A Mi Aire with a clear, uplifting citrus note, and clover adds a green, faintly honeyed freshness. Rose sits at the centre, but it is a lean rose, paired with jasmine tea leaves rather than heavy flowers, and pepper gives it a slight bite. Marigold adds a herbal, slightly bitter floral tone. The base is woody and clean: cedar, hinoki (a Japanese cypress with a pale, lemony wood scent), oakmoss and musk.

About the original

Loewe announced A Mi Aire in November 2006, although some retailers date it to 2005. It belongs to the Aire family that began with Aire in 1985, and the idea behind it was the air held between the two panes of an aeroplane window. At launch it was accompanied by a shower gel and body lotion. It is a different scent from Aire, Aire Sutileza and the other members of the family.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Loewe stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Daytime and active days suit it best, according to retailer descriptions. It is light and airy with no sweetness to speak of, so anyone wanting a rich or ambery floral will find it too sheer.

Is A Mi Aire the same as Loewe Aire?

No. A Mi Aire is a separate scent within the Aire family, built on citrus, rose and jasmine tea over hinoki wood.

Does A Mi Aire contain clove or clover?

Press materials name clover and pepper. Some retailers list clove instead, but the launch notes support clover.
